It’s cold now.

It’s cold

It’s not really cold. It’s 68°F.

it’s cold enough to wear jeans & a shirt & a jacket

It’s cold compared to the heat of the summer

just a few days ago When all you could manage was a flop

Your brain didn’t work you ate a lot of ice cream & popsicles,

there was no relief

now it’s cold

It’s not cold it’s 68°F

But the distractions don’t work anymore

You can be in your body and now you can think

the thinking

The summer has been pissed away

Down hill since the solstice That was almost two moths ago

Now what?

The cats sleep, the crickets  chirp different birds every day

It’s cold

It’s not really cold it’s 68° f

It takes every effort to know you are drowning

can you see the shoreline

You know how to swim

But will drowning be so bad

Should you swim?

Just kick move your arms

breathe

It’s cold

It’s not really cold. It’s 68°F.

The last days

Have been a trial. Months of darkness & foreboding. Nothing is decided nothing is firm, but the clouds seem to be breaking. The storm seems to be moving on, but it will get worse before it gets better.

Field perspective

From Ninety three million miles of empty space, 100’s of miles of atmosphere, and a mix of water the edge of a thermonuclear fusion reaction meets with my eye and deliver these prizes to my camera.

Flowers

Early July flowers are beginning to show up in my unruly garden.

I can fret & worry, is there enough rain, is it too hot, are the snails eating all the seedlings… but the seeds of this moment were planted months ago.

Seems like a hint on how to move through this moment, beauty and order can emerge despite the chaos. stay cool, enjoy the show as it unfolds & save your energy for the harvest to come this fall.
