Highway to nowhere

driving all day to collect

The remains of my recently passed friends life

The odd, ends & bed frames

Left without a home, left to me

Splitting the drive back home so I can stop

At the little science center of his youth, next to the lake,

where he learned the names of the fish he loved to catch

Thinking of our trip to Montana & our fishing

The fly rod he brought on a visit that still hangs unused on the wall

So many people have made donations he must have been very loved she said

I can barely see the paperwork through stained glass eyes
