Early July flowers are beginning to show up in my unruly garden.
I can fret & worry, is there enough rain, is it too hot, are the snails eating all the seedlings… but the seeds of this moment were planted months ago.
Seems like a hint on how to move through this moment, beauty and order can emerge despite the chaos. stay cool, enjoy the show as it unfolds & save your energy for the harvest to come this fall.

Chemicals, bond in certain patterns, molecules carry this up a scale, cells, structures, all built on this chemical foundation. Just add water.
Everything is better with fire, even flys. Note no exposed skin was left untasted by mosquitoes in the making of these photos.
My neighbor was cat sitting and mentioned that she had heard swarm of bees, but couldn’t figure out where it was so the next day I flew my drone to the top of the black locusts, and they were exploding with blossoms and all those blossoms were covered in these, and the hum is distinct and strong and present, but also really hard to record so turn your volume up
Ten years of May’s unfolding here at the studio, plants & animals (including me) bursting back to life after a long and uneven winter.
This time every year the field erupts in color and growth, gaining inches each day.
So this great storm rolled in, better later than never, with a strong cold front. Here are photos & what that kind of front looks like from the radar. I’ve never seen a red leading edge of a storm like that. Crazy.
